Ice cream lovers of America this one is for you: Ben & Jerry's released a new limited-batch ice cream this week. So run to your nearest supermarket to grab a pint of Cannoli Ice Cream.
Inspired by the classic Sicilian dessert, the new flavor features mascarpone ice cream with fudge-covered cannoli shell chunks. The Cannoli ice cream will be sold in stores across the United States until the end of the year.
This is not the first time the Vermont wizards of ice cream release a cannoli ice cream. Back in 1997, Ben & Jerry's released Holy Cannoli but the ricotta ice cream was short lived. In just one year, Holy Cannoli ended up in the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Graveyard.
So far, the new Cannoli ice cream has received mixed reviews. Tasters from the Huffington Post described it as ''a sugar bomb'' with a flavor closer to cake batter than cannoli.
However, if you find Ben & Jerry's latest creation so irresistible you want others to keep their hands off, you can always buy a lock for your pint. This way it's all yours!
