Ikoyi to Move to New London Location

The two-Michelin star restaurant Ikoyi, by chef Jeremy Chan, is to move location, opening at 180 The Strand in Temple, London.

After five successful years in St James' Market, which saw Ikoyi achieve its first and then second Michelin star, and enter The World's 50 Best Restaurants list, the time has come for owners Jeremy Chan and managing director Iré Hassan-Odukale to move the restaurant to a new space, where the next stage of Ikoyi’s evolution can take place.

“The space we have designed will allow us the chance to fully express our interpretation of seasonality through bold heat and intensify the techniques we have worked on for the past five years,” said a statement from the pair.

The last opportunity to enjoy Ikoyi’s innovative cuisine at the original St. James’ Market will be Wednesday 26 October, and bookings for the new restaurant will be available on Ikoyi’s website from Saturday 15 October, with a view to opening at the end of November.

There will be much for Ikoyi to benefit from at a new location at 180 The Strand, a refurbished brutalist landmark building that now functions as a centre for the creative industries in London, with studios, exhibition and performance spaces, and co-working areas.
