The Female Chef is a brand new book highlighting 31 women that are redefining the British food scene.

A collaboration between food writer Clare Finney and photographer Liz Seabrook, the book celebrates those female chefs that are “pioneering change – from nurturing all-female teams to shaking up the narrative of what it means to be a woman and a chef,” in an industry that is still predominantly male.

Chefs to be featured include those already well-established in the minds of British diners, such as Nieves Barragán Mohacho (Sabor) and Angela Hartnett (Murano), and rising stars like Pamela Yung (Flor), Nokx Majozi (Holborn Dining Room), and Zoe Adjonyoh
.

Take a look at portraits and dishes from the book, and enjoy a selection of recipes, below.
