An anti-vegan protestor has made the news this week by eating what appears to be raw meat at a vegan food festival in the Netherlands.
Video footage, which has gone viral, shows the man and a friend being questioned by a police officer while he tucks into a large and very raw piece of meat, said to be veal heart, as stunned attendees at the first ever Vegan Food Festival in Amsterdam look on.
The man, a YouTuber who goes under the username sv3rige, was also sporting a vest with the words “Go vegan and die” on it. On his channel currently he is encouraging people to do the same and antognise more vegans with raw meat, and says if they film it he will upload it to his channel.
A spokesman for the Vegan Food Festival said: "While it is of course not forbidden to eat raw meat, it was of course a shocking sight because there was a puddle of blood and fat."
No arrests were made, but by all accounts this was very much a family-oriented event and according to the festival, those attending were not "extreme vegans."
