We all had our trusted character when we were kids, the, usually animal, cartoon that adorned our favourite breakfast cereal, mine was a tiger called Tony.
Whether a monkey, a mouse or a monster hell bent on knocking people over with an arsenal of sugar coated puffed rice, you probably recall a certain box, image or, in some cases, the actual sound of your favourite cereal.
Now imagine being able to open a door and step right back to this moment of childhood cereal magic. Now let me tell you that in London from December 10th you actually can, and it’s all thanks to the ‘cereal loving’ identical twins Alan and Gary Keery.
The duo have plans to opens the UK’s first ever cereal cafe on Brick Lane in Shoreditch offering to serve breakfast cereals from all over the world from 7am to 8pm.
The twins say they got the idea after walking round London one dinner time in search of cereal, after struggling to find anywhere to serve them they decided to take matters into their own hands.
Since then they have collected 120 types of cereal and plan to serve them to customers with an option of 12 different varieties of milk and 20 different types of toppings.
The Cereal Killer Cafe will be decked with cereal boxes from the 80s and 90s and televisions playing old cartoons. They really do plan to bring back the Snap, Crackle and Pop of childhood.
