The name began as a private joke. It was a reference to a cocktail project so intimate it didn't have a public address. Years ago, a monthly gathering of friends in an apartment to taste new concoctions was simply called Bar Not Found. That same spirit of discovery and personal connection now has a permanent home in Miami at Lovecat.Barnotfound, a cocktail bar tucked away inside the Zoko Collective in the city's Wynwood area. While the concept has evolved from its living room origins, it has intentionally kept the comfortable, homey environment that encourages guests to linger. The setting merges the feel of a New York loft with quintessential Miami elements, creating an ambiance that feels both familiar and unique. The design was guided by a casual question: what would it look like if a cool uncle from Soho moved to Florida? The result is an establishment that guests have organically started treating like a home, calling the bar seating the kitchen island. This intimate atmosphere is the backdrop for a beverage program built around creativity and accessibility, with most of its craft cocktails deliberately priced well below the city's often-inflated standard. Each drink on the beverage list is inspired by a classic album, a theme that extends to the decor, with album covers and explanatory posters lining the walls. The bar has become known for inventions like the 14th Street, a martini made with anchovy vermouth that has become its symbol, and the Black Cow, a rich milk punch featuring Mexican chocolate and raicilla. Other drinks that have defined the offerings include the Great Gig in the Sky, a take on a rum sour, and the Trem Fantasma, a citrus-forward fizzy cocktail. This thoughtful method pairs a clear narrative with well-crafted beverages.
