Caracas Bakery Midtown

A personal obsession over sourdough blossomed into Caracas Bakery Midtown, a cornerstone of Venezuelan food culture in Miami and a city-wide favorite. The kitchen has become known for its high-hydration sourdough bread, a staple that graces the tables of many of the city’s finest restaurants. The offerings, however, extend far beyond a single loaf. The space is a tribute to the bakeries of its namesake city, created to evoke a sense of home for some and provide a delicious discovery for others. The counter presents a landscape of Venezuelan staples alongside viennoiserie that could belong in a Parisian café. The selection features classics like the cachito, a soft bread roll filled with ham and cheese, and tequeños, fried breaded cheese sticks served with a homemade cilantro sauce. These traditional bites share the stage with exquisitely flaky croissants, which have gained their own loyal following. The bakery also serves a full breakfast and lunch, with dishes often built around its signature breads. Items such as the avocado toast on sourdough or the turkey and brie sandwich have become morning rituals for a loyal neighborhood clientele. Caracas Bakery offers more than just baked goods; it is a daily gathering spot. It’s a place for a morning coffee and a pastry, a leisurely weekend brunch, or to pick up provisions for the week. The devotion to honest bread and beautifully crafted pastries is evident in every item, creating a sensation that feels both comforting and exceptional. It is a taste of tradition, served with a quiet hospitality that has made it a beloved fixture in the community.
