Eggs, black pepper, some rice and a cabbage: what would you prepare with these only four ingredients? This is the question we asked some of the best chefs in the world: this time is the turn of Grant Achatz, chef at Alinea and Next restaurants in Chicago, who took the 'FDL Bare Fridge Challenge' - a game that sees every chef conjure up their own, very personal, dishes from the same four ingredients.

Grant Achatz is the fifth up to take the challenge, after the Danish chef Rene Redzepi from Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, the British chef Heston Blumental, the godfather of American cuisine Thomas Keller and the Spanish chef Ferran Adrià.
