Asia 50 Best Restaurants

WHO WILL BE THE NEXT ASIA'S 50 BEST # 1?

Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List is on its way: the event, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will be held in Macau on Tuesday, 26 March 2019.

Here you find the full 2018 Asia's Best Restaurants List.

It will be the second time the prestigious awards ceremony takes place in the glitzy city-state gathering the most celebrated chefs, renowned restaurateurs, industry VIPs and international media to celebrate the red carpet event at Wynn Palace Cotai.

The awards ceremony was first launched in 2013 and has since been hosted in Singapore (2013-2015) and Bangkok, Thailand (2016-2017) before being staged in Macau for the first time in 2018.

Gaggan Anand was last year's winner, a title that he's held for four consecutive years: “I want all the voters to stop voting for me - said Anand last year after the award - I think every restaurant should get the curse”. So, who will take the crown from his head?

Japanese chef Seiji Yamamoto has been already announced as the inaugural winner of the American Express Icon Award: the award is a new addition to the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 existing portfolio and "celebrates individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the restaurant industry worthy of international recognition, whether over their career to date or in recent years, leading them to reach the status of culinary icons."

The one-day discussion forum, #50BestTalks will also return on Monday, 25 March allowing world-leading chefs and culinary leaders to discuss "Vital Ingredients" sharing big ideas around sustainability, sourcing, over-consumption and other current issues facing chefs, restaurateurs and diners.
