Practice The Art of Fine Food Any Time You Can.

This week we launched our new campaign searching for special food moments shared on Instagram using #FDLmoment.

It goes alongside the new S.Pellegrino campaign that tell people to "Practice The Art of Fine Food Any Time You Can."

We'll be asking for pictures around certain topics and this week we started with holiday food and drink pics. To help launch the campaign with a bang we accompanied S.Pellegrino on a very special trip in Venice - watch the video now to find out what we mean.

The Meringue Girls

Cupcakes are out and meringues are in, it's official. This week on FDL we visited The Meringue Girls, two friends from London who have started their very own gourmet meringue company.

We sat down with Alex and Stacey, both trained chefs, to find out what made them start their own meringue company.

We also discussed the girl's new cookbook which launches this September and asked the duo how they go about coming up with their recipes.

26 Things You May Not Know about Algae

In keep with our usualy A-Z series, this week we took a look at algae, both it's uses in and outside the kitchen.

This is a piece packed with interesting algae facts, from it's important use in molecular gastronomy through agar agar and it's traditional place at the heart of Japanese dashi.

It's amazing just how diverse and commonly used algae is and a quick look at this piece really does show you.
