S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016

This week at Fine Dining Lovers we kicked things off with a special announcement: the S.Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year challenge is back!

The prestigious contest aims to find the most talented chef in the world under age 30. Contestants will compete regionally and the chosen finalists will prepare their signature dish in Milan for a jury of the Seven Sages - a panel of internationally renown chefs including Carlo Cracco, Elena Arzak and Mauro Colagreco.

The Rise of Sorghum

In recent years, there has been a renaissance of long forgotten grains. Sorghum is one of the grains making a comeback all thanks to the huge gluten-free trend.

A native of Africa, this pseudo-cereal is grown across South America and the United States. While not suitable for making breads, per se, it makes a great addition to salads and risotto-like dishes.
