A Tasting Tour of Guangzhou

This week at Fine Dining Lovers we kicked things off with a tasting tour of Guangzhou, China, which is considered the birthplace of Cantonese cuisine.

This June, the Michelin Guide arrived in Guangzhou for the first time, awarding eight restaurants with one star, including Jade River at the White Swan Hotel. Jianyu Leung, the restaurant's executive chef, filled us in on where to eat in Guangzhou.

Also this week we caught up with acclaimed Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez, whose restaurant Central is one of the best in the world.

Martinez discussed his philosophy of a work-life balance and how he believes working less can actually make you more productive.
