Very Merry Mulled Drinks

This  week we kicked things off with a big infusion of Christmas spirit. To celebrate the holiday season we focused on the variety of mulled drinks you can find around the globe.

From Brazil to Scandinavia, we discovered some really tasty hot beverages infused with all sorts of things from sugarcane cachaça to vodka, vanilla beans and other spices.

Take a look at our complete list of mulled drinks and get ready for a very Merry Christmas. Bottoms up!

Milan's Famous Butcher

From Christmas drinks we moved on to Italy where we chatted with Sergio Motta, the most famous butcher in Lombardy (the northern region that is home to Milan, the country's fashion capital).

Motta is known for changing the way Italians eat meat. That's because the butcher famously ages his meat for months - unlike commercially processed meat which is aged for mere days.

This butcher is so passionate about his shop he calls it the ''cellar of dreams." Interested in getting to know him better? Read our exclusive interview with this talented master of meat.

A Coffee-Inspired Menu

After filling up on our fair share of aged-meat we turned out attention to a very unique coffee-inspired menu prepared at the new Berton Restaurant in Milan.

The menu began as a challenge to create food based on four Nespresso Grand Cru coffees. The result? Mouthwatering dishes like pinecone-smoked cod, Carnaroli rice with birch broth and chocolate, caramel and coffee custard with a yogurt biscuit.

It was a special evening featuring the food of great chefs like Andrea Berton (the host), Mauro Colagreco and Giancarlo Morelli, among others. Get all the details of this fabulous dinner here.
