From learning about Russian cuisine and dining in the Italian Alps to learning how to make paella, this was an action-packed week here at Fine Dining Lovers.

RUSSIAN GASTRONOMY

We kicked things off at Fine Dining Lovers by turning to Moscow chef  Vladimir Mukhin to find out the current state of gastronomy in Russia.

Mukhin, who placed second at the S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup 2013, runs the White Rabbit restaurant. He works with local farmers and producers, which results in a refreshing perspective on Russian cuisine.

CHEF'S CUP 2015

From Russia we traveled to the Dolomite Mountains in Northern Italy for the annual Chef's Cup. The 2015 edition was a fun-filled event featurings food, wine and skiing competitions. 

Chef Norbert Niederkofler, the founder of the event, played host to 50 visiting chefs from all over the world,. This was the 10th edition of the Chef's Cup and it was full of unexpected but pleasant surprises. Find out what happened.

COOKING PAELLA

We ended the week with a bang thanks to a class on how to make the perfect paella. So what does it take to prepare this classic Spanish dish? One of the secrets is to let the rice caramelize and stick to the bottom of the pan. Here's what else you need to know.
