Grant Achatz Takes The 'Bare Fridge Challenge'

This week at Fine Dining Lover we kicked things off with a fun challenge for Grant Achatz.

The acclaimed chef of Alinea in Chicago was brave enough to take our FDL Bare Fridge Challenge, a game in which chefs form all over the world are posed the same question: what would you cook with egg, rice, a cabbage and black pepper?

Not surprisingly, Achatz knocked our socks off by elevating four humble ingredients to gourmet status. What would the chef make? Check out the video of Achatz taking the Bare Fridge Challenge.

Cooking Classes Around the World

With the rise of food tourism we wanted to take a look at popular cooking classes in top dining destinations around the world. Our search took us to France, Italy, Peru, Thailand, South Africa and beyond.

We discovered 10 amazing cooking schools that offer tourists a taste of authentic flavors and fun lessons in recreating locals dishes. If you are a foodie planning a vacation, you may want to include some of these schools in your itinerary.

Dining at the Museum

When you think of great places to eat, museums may not always be at the top of your list. However, we discovered that dining at the museum can be an extraordinary experience for all the senses.

For instance, after taking in the beauty of the Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa you can head on down to the Louvre's Angelina tea room for a splendid tea time that comes second to none. Here are other unexpected dining spots at museums around the world.
