A Taste of Peru

We started this week on Fine Dining Lovers with a wonderful video interview with the Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz.

Muñoz is in charge of the kitchen at Astrid y Gastón in Lima and has worked alongside Gaston Acurio for many years.

He spoke about his own approach to cooking now that’s he’s taken over at the restaurant and exactly what Peruvian cuisine means to him.

Super Sensor 

We also took a look at a new device called the SCiO - a clever piece of kit that can analysis different ingredients and present data about their chemical composition.

The device, which was funded through Kick Starter, can display info on the protein, carbs, calories and the fat content of ingredients just by pointing the small sensor on the top.
