Marilyn Monroe, More Than A (Food) Attitude

Sunday will mark the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death. We remember the beautiful Hollywood actress through her legacy of food

By FDL on

Even 50 years after her death, Marilyn Monroe is still making headlines. The blond bombshell was honored at this year's edition of the Cannes Film Festival and her memory lives on through the many films and photographs that captured her beauty.

It's hard to deny that we are still fascinated by Marilyn. What did she eat? Did she follow a special diet? How did she maintain her curves? Who was the real Marilyn? We've been on a quest to answer some of those questions and have found amazing facts about her life.

Indeed, Marilyn followed diets every now and then but she loved to cook. She owned a collection of cookbooks and even jotted down a stuffing recipe believed to have been handed down by Joe DiMaggio's mother. Her beauty and fame have inspired countless books and even inspired a cocktail in her honor.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of her death and we'd like to honor her legacy with food and perhaps a cocktail.  So, we'd like to raise a glass to the great Marilyn Monroe who had an insatiable appetite for life and love.
