What if iconic film directors like Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino created how-to recipe videos

The LA-based food artist, commercial director and freelance “foodie-for-hireDavid Ma has imagined how four great directors could make a short film in their unmistakable aesthetics. The results are four one-minute recipe videos inspired by the recognizable visual styles of Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Alfonso Cuarón and Michael Bay.

"I treat food videos like films, making every moment cinematic, original and drool-worthy" says the artist. The "cinematic element", a source of inspiration for David Ma's visual representation of food, becomes central in these #FoodFilms.

Enjoy the four videos below to discover how it would look like if Quentin Tarantino made spaghetti and meatballs, Alfonso Cuaron made pancakes, Michael Bay made waffles and Wes Anderson made s’mores.

Wes Anderson's S’mores

According to David Ma, if Wes Anderson made a how-to recipe video in The Grand Budapest Hotel style, it would look like this...

Quentin Tarantino's Spaghetti Meatballs

A very pulp fiction version of Spaghetti Meatballs, inspired by Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill visual style.

Alfonso Cuaron's Pancakes

Pancake making would be represented like this in an Alfonso Curaron's Gravity inspired video...

Micheal Bay's Waffles

If Michael Bay made a video on how to make waffles, it would probably look like this...
