Thanks
We'd like to start this piece by saying a huge thanks to everyone. All the lovely people, chefs, readers, writers, bloggers - the list really is endless - as is our gratitude to everyone who has joined the FDL community so far. It's been our first year and we're honored to have so many great people involved with the site, we understand it wouldn't be possible without you and we really appreciate it all. So from everyone at FDL HQ we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we look forward to more fun and adventures together next year.

Christmas Cheer
Like most food lovers at Christmas, we've been swept up by the festive bug this year and FDL HQ has been packed with Christmas cheer. With that in mind we thought we'd take a look back at December and bring you some of the best FDL Christmas moments...

Taste of Christmas
Getting the festive celebrations off to a start early FDL travelled to the London food festival Taste of Christmas. While there we took the time to hunt out some Christmas dinner tips with a twist from the likes of Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. From tips on how to cook a gooseand how to make brussel sprouts taste amazing, FDL brought you some top Christmas dinner advice from some of the world's best chefs. There was also some great turkey cooking tips from the 'king of the turkey', Paul Kelly and a mouthwatering picture gallery of some of the tastiest Christmas food we've ever seen at FDL HQ.

Christmas gifts
FDL covered all your foodie Christmas gifts this year with a round up of some of the best, wackiest, and fun presents to buy for your food loving friends. There were 22 great suggestions, from inside out champagne glasses to whiskey stones and even a foodie traveller survival kit. We also brought you some suggestions on great places to buy high quality knives online for those friends who are serious in the kitchen. So if you've suddenly realised you've forgotten someone's gift this Christmas this list could be for you.

Christmas in New York
Everyone dreams of Christmas in New York and at FDL we're no different. So when the opportunity came to travel to Manhattan to visit the talented chef Wylie Dufresne and find out his views on Christmas food, we couldn't resist. He also talked with FDL about his kitchen style and also explained how such a creative and inspiring chef was actually an extremely picky eater when he was younger.

Christmas with the food writers
We also decided to round up some of the food writers and bloggers that have helped FDL this year and ask them to tell us their Christmas wishes. It was a nice and friendly chat with some of the community and their was some real insight into what some of the FDL contributors would love to find under their Christmas trees this year. We also asked for some Christmas goodies and they came in the form of recipes. Marx "Bark" chocolate bars,Spiced cranberry buttermilk bundt cakeHomemade Passatelli pastaand Pimms and Star Anise Fruits with Amaretti recipe.

That's just a selection of the festive articles we've brought you this month - we'll be continuing to bring you stories over the holiday season and wish you all a very merry Christmas.
