The Jury for Russia Baltics CIS Region is Finalised
Chefs Vladimir Mukhin (Russia), Tõnis Siigur (Estonia), Sergejs Šiporovs (Latvia), Liutauras Čeprackas (Lithuania), and Uilliam Lamberti (Russia) are the jury members for the Russia Baltics CIS region in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 contest - a global talent search to find the world’s best young chef. They will judge ten semi-finalists from across the region, selecting just one talented young chef to go through to the grand final in Milano 2016.
Acclaimed Russian chef Vladimir Mukhin will take on the dual role of both juror and mentor in this year's competition. He joins the team from The White Rabbit restaurant in Moscow listed #23 in The World's 50 Best Restaurant list. One of the most influential figures on the Russian fine dining scene Mukhin has been cited as the 'heir to the Russian culinary dynasty.' Mukhin started working in his father's kitchen at the tender age of ten and there was never any doubt about his future life in charge of a kitchen. Mukhin will be perfectly placed to relate to the enthusiastic young chefs and encourage the winner towards the final.
Tõnis Siigur is the chef at Noa Restaurant, a seaside restaurant on the border of Tallinn and Viimsi in Estonia, where he is widely recognised as one of the best restaurateurs and chefs in the country. He attributes his incredible gastronomic experience to Nordic will, self-determination, persistence and perfectionism along with rigorous ingredient selection.
Sergejs Šiporovs heads up the Fish Restaurant at the luxury Dome Hotel in Riga, Latvia. He honed his skills in restaurants both in and outside of Latvia including a successful career in the two Michelin starred British restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons.

He obtained many of his culinary skills and experience in one of the world's most famous culinary schools, Le Cordon Bleu, located in Mexico, as well as working in Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain.
Italian chef Uilliam Lamberti leads his own restaurant, Ulliam's, in Russia's capital city, Moscow. He sees Russian food through the eyes of an Italian chef. He also represented the Russian Pavilion at the Expo Milano 2015.
