Whether you are vegetarian, vegan or just enjoy discovering new sustainable food trends, Veggie World Paris is waiting for you. From the 2nd to 3rd of April this consumer exhibition and trade fair will fill the CentQuatre, Paris with up to one hundred producers, artisans, and associations to satisfy over 8,000 visitors.
Veggie World began life five years ago with just 21 with exhibitors appearing at the first fair in Wiesbaden Germany in 2011. The fair has since established itself as one of the largest and the oldest food festivals on the vegan circuit. After the Paris exhibition the fair will visit another eight European cities across both Switzerland and Germany.
Tackling the meat and cheese centered French gastronomy with a vegan fair might seem like an ambitious choice yet the organisers are confident the events popularity reflects the growing vegan consumer market, as the website mentions, "more and more people are choosing to follow a vegan life or follow some of the rules more regularly. Die hard meat eaters are also skipping meat for a few days a week and even cheese lovers are trying to buy from cheese shops exclusively to be sure of their artisanal production."
During the fair's two days in Paris hundreds of exhibitors and presenters will help visitors to further discover the world of veganism in a number of presentations and live cooking events. Talks on vegan and vegetarian diets will include topics such as'balanced proteins' and the 'vegetarian meat', seitan, through to 'gluten free' cooking.
