Umami Food and Art Festival, New York

The Umami Food and Art festival in New York is underway. The month long event sees chefs, musicians, artists and film makers come together to celebrate food and art across the city.

From cooking art challenges to museum exhibitions on the history of cereal the festival, which is run as a non profit organisation, aims to offer visitors very interactive events with the aim of sparking a debate about the roles of food and art in our society.

Events are taking place across april with a full list on the festival website - the one event to catch our eye has to be the 'musical recipes' from David Chang and Mario Batali in which will then be performed by the band One Ring Zero.
