
Tuscan Food Festivals in March
In March, Tuscany offers visitors a slew of food festivals that highlight the art of Italian living and the region's culinary bounty
You don't have to wait until summertime to visit Tuscany. The region is very much alive at this time of the year, as evidenced by the multitude of food festivals scheduled for March.
If you happen to be in Florence, you can't miss the Taste Festival from March 9th to 11th at the city's Stazione Leopolda. More than 250 vendors will display the best food and wine the region has to offer.
Truffle lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy several weekend fairs dedicated to the Marzuolo, the region's treasured white truffle. Aside from purchasing truffles at the market, visitors can venture into the woods for a truffle hunting session. Here is a list of towns hosting truffle fairs:
- San Giovanni D'Asso on March 9th and 10th
- Cigoli March 16th and 17th
- Volterra on March 23rd and 24th
