Don't miss out on Canada's biggest international wine fair arriving in Vancouver on February 20th for a weeks long food and drink festivities.
Get set for the annual arrival of one of North America's largest wine shows, the Vancouver International Wine Festival (VIWF). Gearing up to make its 38th appearance in the thriving British Columbian seaside metropolis of Vancouver the festival will start on February 20th 2016.
A week long celebration of wine and food is promised with over 25,000 wine fans and connoisseurs arriving from around the world to enjoy wines from over 170 international wineries from 15 countries. Italian wine lovers will be in for a special treat as Italy is the 2016 Theme Country with a focus on Italian wines and tasting sessions.
Aside from the International Festival Tasting sessions over 50 external events have been organised for everyone to get their foodie fix.
From educational seminars, wine tastings and minglers to wine and food grazing events, lunches, winery dinners and the ever-popular Vintners Brunch, everyone will be sure to find something to please their palate.

2016 Regional Tastings
The Acura Tasting Room featuring 155 wineries pouring 618 wines, including wines of British Columbia.
The legends dinner
Join Anthony Gismondi, wine columnist (The Vancouver Sun, WineAlign) and a star-studded cast of wine luminaries as they divulge their unique stories and share top-tier wines such as Amarone della Valpolicella, Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino and a bevy of Super Tuscans. Tickets are priced at $100.
Bacchanalia Gala Dinner and Auction
Tickets are selling out fast for the Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction, billed as one of the most spectacular wine and food events in the city for an evening of incredible wine, inventive food pairings. A perfect destination for any serious wine collector there will also be the chance to bid on rare and unique wines in silent and live auctions including a bottle of 1906 Château Latour, valued at $10,000, and other spectacular wine collections. Tickets are.$450 a head.
