Save The Date: Ferran Adria To Kick Off North American Book Tour
Legendary Spanish chef Ferran Adria is embarking on a two-week book tour across North America. Stops include Vancouver, Seattle, Toronto, New York and Chicago.
When Ferran Adrià does book tours he doesn't just stick to book signings. The legendary chef of elBulli prefers a more dynamic itinerary of champagne receptions, lectures, fantastic food and plenty of face-to-face time with fans. You can expect that and much more when he embarks on a five-city book tour across North America in March.
Adrià will be promoting his epic elBulli 2005-2011, a seven-volume tome depicting the history of his acclaimed restaurant one dish at a time. The book is published by Phaidon and contains over 750 recipes and more than 1,000 photographs. It retails for $625.
The chef's book tour will kick off in Vancouver on Saturday, March 8th. From there he will head to Seattle, Toronto, New York and Chicago. The two-week book tour includes a few tasty surprises like the canapés catered by Momofuku Shōtō in Toronto and a VIP reception at Chicago's acclaimed Balena restaurant.
To whet your appetite, watch what happened when the chef saw the finished book for the first time:
