With a lineup featuring top chefs Hugh Acheson, Tim Love, Andrew Zimmern and Antonia Lofaso, the 2015 Austin Food & Wine Festival promises good eats and fun.
Austin, a city known for its great music and bustling restaurant scene, will offer food lovers a feast for the senses during the upcoming 2015 Austin Food and Wine Festival. The Texas capital will welcome more than 80 chefs, food experts, and beverage and wine connoisseurs to its annual gastro-extravaganza to be held April 24-26.
Visitors will get to rub shoulders with chefs like Richard Blais, Tim Love, Andrew Zimmern, Antonia Lofaso, Graham Elliot and Gail Simmons. Over 100 food, beverage and wine exhibitors will set up shot at the Grand Tasting Pavilion so foodies can sample fine goods to their heart's delight.
Chef Tim Love will be on hand to teach the "world's largest hand-on grilling classes" during the festival while Atlanta's Hugh Acheson will share his secret to turning seasonal fava beans into a delicious soup and salad at a class called Spring Has Sprung: A Fava-orite Ingredient. Other highlights include a mystery box challenge between Andrew Zimmern and Graham Elliot. Another can't-miss event will feature Austin chef Paul Qui teaching a class on Cambodian home cooking.
A lot of the events and classes have already sold out but weekend passes are still available. For more information on scheduled events, chefs and tickets, swing by the festival website.
