A museum in Silicon Valley is hosting an exhibit showcasing the brilliant photography of Nathan Myhrvold's Modernist Cuisine cookbooks.
If you happen to visit California this summer do swing by Silicon Valley. That's where The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose is hosting an exhibit called Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking!
The exhibit features more than 75 large-scale images from Nathan Myhrvold's The Photography of Modernist Cuisine, which hit book shelves last fall. The book is an amazing compilation of 399 photos from Modernist Cuisine and Modernist Cuisine at Home and never-before seen images.
What can you expect from the exhibit? Images revealing the inner workings of food and cooking - some almost as big as a full-size bed. Aside from fantastic scientific photography, you'll see high-speed videos and cutaways of a Viking range, pressure cooker, blender and other kitchen equipment.
The exhibit is free to the public and runs until September 1. A host of special events will be held at the museum throughout the summer so be sure to check out their website for up-to-date information.
