Orient Express Gourmet Dining Experience in France

Legendary train, the Orient Express, will open its dining car for 64 gastronomic evenings this summer, from 3rd May to 30th July 2016 on three scenic routes across France. Christened the « Table Orient Express » the restaurant on wheels will welcome fine diners aboard to enjoy dishes conceived by Michelin starred chef Yannick Alléno and pasty chef Yann Couvreur whilst seated in its antique dining carriages.

A Gourmet Voyage aboard a Legendary Train

The gourmet voyage will run for a duration of three months with the ephemeral restaurant aboard the Orient Express stopping successively in Cannes (from 3rd May to 28th May), Paris (from 1st June to 16th July) and Bordeaux (from 20th July to 30th July 2016).

The gourmet voyage begins at 19h30, as the carriage draws away from the station. Diners will be welcomed with an aperitif before being shown to their table in the antique 1920s dining car. During the three hour return journey a number of gastronomic delights will be served as the French countryside rolls by outside, leaving just enough time to relax with a nightcap before disembarking.

An Exclusive Dining Opportunity

 The exclusive setting lends itself perfectly to the delights of the bespoke menu designed by the multi-starred chef Yannick Alléno, also mentor the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016, along with French pastry chef Yann Couvreur.

Only 38 people will have the chance to enjoy this unique nightly experience,  a privilege which obviously comes at a price. Expect to pay 530 euros per head with extra 60 euros for wine.
