Beer lovers will have an exciting line-up of events to tempt them across the city in this 10 day festival bringing out the barrels.
Kegs are at the ready as the big apple prepares to quench the thirst of thirsty beer lovers in the 10 day NYC Beer Week 2016 held across the city. Over 400-events will be hosted by the New York City Brewers Guild and New York State Brewers Association celebrating local artisanal beer producers.
The eighth annual affair kicks off on Saturday 20th February and is touted to be even bigger and better than last year. Starting as it means to go on the first tasting taps will be turned on onboard Empire Cruises' Nautical Empress, with 30 local breweries (Brooklyn, Big Alice Brewing) serving their nectar within the sights of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River.
There'll be plenty of chances to taste exclusive new beers with 14 local beer makers brewing up special recipes using three malts and three hops grown exclusively in New York State as well as many festival highlights from WQXR's Classical Beer Jam, with accompanying music to a People's Choice Awards Ceremony with the chance to vote for your favourite out of 150 cask ales.
