Milan Design Week is going on
Find out what happened yesterday and what's in store the next few days at Milan Design Week.
Milan Design Week’s 3rd day began with a visit to Ventura Lambrate: there Arabeschi di Latte, Fortino editions and the Japanese design brand Karimoku. New Standard, invited visitors for breakfast in order to celebrate Kitchen Library: a temporary space where to read and get inspired during the Salone, hosted at the studio of Arabeschi di Latte. The space will be open until Saturday for the public to visit.
Back to the city center, it seems like ice-cream is a recurrent theme this year: Gelato Giusto, one of Milan’s most interesting ice-cream destinations, created especially for the week a new taste, using the beer Moretti gran cru, lemon, caramel and nuts. Matteo Cibic’s “gelato alla Milanese” moved to Slowear in Via Solferino where it will remain for the rest of design week.
Then on Saturday, the lovers of the kind shouldn’t miss “Gelato all’Orto”, an ice-cream event organized by Gnam Box at Fabbrica del Vapore, starting at 15,30. Yesterday was also the day for Elle Décor’s international design awards, announced with a special party with the presence of S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
In the meantime the food tour across the Brera district is going on: 'till this Sunday, nine restaurants of the area will be serving nine “piatti del designer” (dish by the designer) a dish that each of them introduced to the menu appositely for this week.
