Italian restaurants at Cinefood Berlinale 2013

Italian restaurants at Cinefood Berlinale 2013
Four Italian restaurants will turn into original movie sets whilst serving traditional Southern dishes during the Cinefood at the Berlin Film Festival 2013
Basilicata is a region of Southern Italy famous for its delicious foods and also for its famous film sets, The Passion (Mel Gibson), L'uomo delle stelle (Tornatore), Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (Pasolini), Viva l'Italia (Rossellini) and many more.
Cinefood is a new format that will try to revive the relationship between movies and this particular region by promoting its culinary traditions. Berlin and the Berlinale 2013 will jump start the event which will then continue in three other European cities, home to important film festivals.Â
Â
Each city will pick out four of the best restaurants owned by Lucanians that will transform into movie sets for the occasion. Anyone entering will have the chance to try the typical dishes of Southern Italy. Among other organized activities there will be workshops and meetings between buyers and producers. Â
