Borough Market says buonasera to a host of small Italian producers showcasing regional specialities, from cheese to coffee, plus some of London's favourite Italian chefs at work cooking up a storm in the demo kitchen from 5pm to 9pm.
Italianophiles in London will get an early Christmas treat this year with the arrival of the Italian Food Parade in Borough Market on Thursday 21 November, from 5pm to 9pm.
Hungry visitors will get to spend an evening tasting a host of Italian specialities, from meat and cheeses to coffee and cake, speaking to small producers, meeting chefs and picking up free tips and recipes and early Christmas gifts.
Starring in the Demo Kitchen will be London-based Italian chefs Francesco Mazzei, Danilo Cortellini and Emilia Strazzanti, cooking up a range of dishes from across Italy, presented by food blogger, writer and cook Paola Maggiulli.
The event is held in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and will also host small producers from Amatrice, a town in central Italy that was devastated in 2016 by an earthquake, showcasing their locally produced cured meat, sausages, cheese and sweets and highlighting the importance of food in the regeneration of the area.
