Identità Golose New York & Chicago's Italian Food & Wine Festival

Identità Golose, the prestigious food congress that highlights Italian cuisine, is coming back to New York City for its fifth year, the congress will feature seven Italian chefs along with some of New York's great culinary talent who will work together to prepare special dinners and seminars. The event will be held October 9th to the 12th.

As in previous years, Eataly New York will host the event. At Eataly's La Scuola Grande chefs will host cooking demos where one Italian and one American chef will discuss today’s global culinary trends and techniques, and prepare dishes that best represent their topics. Guests of the seminars will sample dishes from each chef while sipping Italian wines.

Participating chefs include Davide Scabin, Carlo Cracco, Massimo Bottura, Lorenzo Cogo and Luciano Monosilio. The chefs will also prepare two five-course dinners at Eataly's Birreria, with profits benefiting the Food Bank of New York.

On the other hand, Eataly Chicago will be the stage for the inaugural edition of the Italian Food & Wine Festival taking place from October 14-16.  The festival will feature six all-star Italian chefs and American chefs including Davide Oldani, Ugo Aciati and Lidia Bastianich. Four of the chefs will prepare a stellar dinner followed by an Italian wine tasting (organized in collaboration with the Merano Wine Festival) that will features hundreds of vintages and Italian products. The event will also feature two workshops on wine and truffles.
