Gastronomy Takes Centre Stage at MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE From Feburary 2016
Montreal is gearing up to host one of the largest winter festivals in the world. Food will be well and truly in the spotlight, from February 18 to March 5.
Montreal is warming up for the 17th Edition of one of the largest winter festivals in the world, Montreal en Lumiere, running from 18th February to 15th March 2016, promising all things arty.
The annual celebration registers a whopping 1,300,000 visitors all set to experience the wintry joy of Montreal through a unique program of performing arts, gastronomy, free outdoor family activities, and even an all nighter.
An extensive gastronomy programme will delight foodie visitors with an extensive agenda promised over the 17 day period.
Guest chefs from this year's festival country Shenzhen, China will be appearing alongside Boston, as the featured American city and Laval the featured Quebec region.
Culinary Highlights include:
The festival Of Our Cheeses: A chance to meet the cheese makers of Quebec.
Four Top Chefs in the Spotlight: Chefs Mathias Théau and Gilles Herzog will be joined by a student brigade to celebrate the cuisine of four master chefs: Paul Bocuse, Gualtiero Marchesi, Santi Santamaria, and Serge Dansereau by serving up a five course dinner.
Honorary President Dinner: A seven course dinner featuring the traditional cuisine of Huaiyang by chef Olivier Perret and Chef Dong.
