Frankfurt Bookfair is the Place to be a Foodie in 2015

Food is set to play a pivotal role at this year's Frankfurt Book Festival where an entire Gourmet Gallery will be devoted to food, drink and general indulgence. The annual German Book Fair with an international flair will be held in Frankfurt from the 14th to 18th October with 1000 square metres allocated to food alone.

Both book worms and foodies will be able to get their fill of cookery and bakery books, wine guides, culinary travel guides, enhanced e-books and apps. But this is also an event that promises far more than reading alone.

The Gourmet Gallery programme also has many interactive highlights, including:

30 Master Classes in the Show Kitchen providing culinary inspiration from star chefs from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Russia, the UK and USA demonstrating their cooking skills live on stage.

20 talks in the Gourmet Salon: decision-makers, doers, publishers, authors, journalists, photographers, stylists and agents will share their ideas and experiences.

The “Gourmand Awards – Best of the Best” where the best cookbooks of the past 20 years will be chosen.
