As the summer heats up so does the eclectic selection of food events on offer around the world.

Whether at home or overseas on holiday there are plenty of culinary and gastronomic events to tempt around the globe this month.

From unmissable gourmet four hands dinners to Bottura's new "social gastronomy" event, here are the unmissable culinary events wherever you are this July.

S.Pellegrino Four Hands Lunch and Dinner, Bangkok, 5 and 7 July

S.Pellegrino presents a special four hands lunch & dinner with chefs Bruno Oger and Arnaud Dunand Sauthier at Le Normandie, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Bangkok on 5 and7 July 2018.

With four Michelin stars between them, this should be an exciting opportunity to sample either the five-course lunch or the more opulent eight-course dinner in the contemporary dining room with spectacular river views.

The occasion also presents the perfect opportunity for guest chef Bruno Oger, from Brittany, to step back into the very same kitchen he once worked in at the tender age of 23. Following a successful career, he returns from his current position at two Michelin stars La Villa Archange on France’s Cote d’Azur.

Gert de Mangeleer, the Belgian three-Michelin starred chef of the Hertog Jan restaurant brings a taste of Brugge, Belgium to the Greek island at this spectacular dinner hosted by Lauda restaurant in Oia vilage in July.

 

19/20 July Frederik Berselius @ Lycabettus Restaurant

Swedish-born Frederik Berselius will be crossing the ocean, taking leave of his two Michelin starred restaurant Aska in Brooklyn to cook for diners at the stunning cliffside terrace, Lycabettus restaurant. Despite living stateside his cooking style is still defined by his Nordic roots, childhood memories and Scandinavian flavors. Chef Berselius says: “I’m interested in foods you won’t see at most places, food that makes you think, that stimulates more than just your taste buds.”

 

Chef Dharshan Munidasa at Pop up Dinner Event, Singapore, 11 and 13 July

Ministry of Crab

Chef Dharshan Munidasa of Ministry of Crab in Colombo, Sri Lanka will collaborate with Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore for an exclusive three-night pop-up dinner event from 11 to 13 July 2018.

Voted as Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants from 2015 to 2018, Ministry of Crab is the brainchild of celebrated chef and restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa who revolutionized Sri Lanka’s gastronomic landscape and has put Sri Lanka on the global culinary map. Sri Lanka's lagoon crabs and prawns are the stars of his four course menu specially curated for the occasion which includes: Crab liver pâté, baked crab, garlic chilli prawn and pepper crab.

Four Hands Chef Dinner, Singapore, 13 and 14 July

Singapore’s iconic rooftop restaurant CÉ LA VI and Fine Dining Lovers by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna collaborate with internationally acclaimed Chef Ton of Le Du , Bangkok (ranked 14 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018) for a two-day showcase on 13 and 14 July 2018.

Chef Ton of Le Du, listed in both the Michelin guide and Asia's 50 Best Restaurant, will reflect the restaurants principle of using seasonal local produce and honouring Thailand’s centuries-old culinary culture while joining hands with CÉ LA VI’s executive Chef Joey Sergentakis, to present an immersive dining experience marrying innovative Modern Asian with Modern Thai cuisine.

Dishes on the five course lunch menu include: Cured Fluke, chili & cilantro snow, Snow fish, young coconut, chu chee curry and Durian panna cotta & smoked coconut by Chef Ton along with Chef Joey’s Lo Soi Poached Foie Gras, hazelnut & pomegranates molasses and Wagyu beef cheek, tamarind, crispy spinach noodles. The 7-course dinner menu also features Scallop & oyster ceviche, young coconut, caviar, Cured Fluke, and Venison, fennel & black pepper.

Windy City Smokeout Festival, Chicago, 13 to 15 July

Grill fans should look no further than the Windy City Smokeout celebrating all things BBQ, beer and country music, from 13 to 15 July. The toe-tapping, lip smacking, finger licking event which gathers 20 top pitmasters from Chicago and across the country will be serving up BBQ favourites to more than 45,000 country music loving revellers.

Social Gastronomy, Modena, 24 July

Chefs, artists, writers, filmmakers and scientists are all set to converge in Modena, Italy on 24 July as Massimo Bottura hosts "social gastronomy" , the same day that the Basque Culinary World Prize 2018 will be awarded. The symposium will be the moment for "sharing of the power of ideas, the strength of culture, the impact of science, the influence of art, and the new ways of connecting people through gastronomy." Guests will be able to join some of the world's most influential chefs like Michael Bras (France), Joan Roca (Spain), Andoni Luis Aduriz (Spain), Gastón Acurio (Peru), Dominique Crenn (USA), and Yoshihiro Narisawa (Japan) who will also have input into how gastronomy has become part of a social movement.

Festival Napa Valley 2018, Napa, 20 to 29 July

Four Hands Dinner, Singapore, 27 & 28 July, 2018

Book a table for an exculsive four hands dinner between two of Asia's most exclusive restaurants when Braci, Singapore meets Takazawa, Japan in this Fine Dining Lovers Dinner by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna on 27 and 28 July.

For two nights only Restaurateur-Chef Beppe De Vito’s one-Michelin-star Braci,​ Singapore will have the rare opportunity to taste a creative and contemporary 7 course dinner created by Beppe and Chef Yoshiaki Takazawa of Takazawa​ (Tokyo, Japan).

The exciting one off menu will feature original dishes created by the two chefs for the event. Chef Takazawa will pay homage to Braci’s Italian origin with his playful and surprising renditions of classic Italian dishes, while Beppe will combine his love of Japanese culinary culture with his Italian roots. Dishes include: Vegetable Parfait Tomato, parmesan, basil Tiramisù Sweet corn, hairy crab Scallop Spaghetti Sea urchin Caciotta Cheese Tortellini Black truffle, smoked marrow, chanterelles Kagoshima Wagyu Almonds, beetroot, confit yolk
