Fishtuna International Food Festival 2021
Five days dedicated to the bluefin tuna fish are set to take place on the picturesque Sicilian island, complete with cooking shows, chefs, talks and much more, take a look.
The second edition of the sustainability and art festival celebrating bluefin tuna comes to the picturesque Sicilian island of Favignana, from 1 to 5 September.
The spotlight will be on the island's products and specialities like bottarga, blue tuna fish, capers, garlic, legumes and wines as well as tropical fruits, now grown successfully on the island.
Expect talk shows, book presentations and culinary dialogues, workshops, masterclasses and cooking shows and more, all in celebration of the iconic bluefish tuna.
Be sure to visit the 'Tonnara di Favignana,' when there, once the largest tuna fishing plant in the Mediterranean and now a museum which recounts the story of the ‘mattanza’, the historical way in which tuna fish were caught.
