Experimental Gastronomy Arrives in NYC

If you love dining out in weird, wonderful and memorable ways, join a night of Experimental Gastronomy on May 18 and 19, when Steinbeisser partners with the James Beard Foundation for it's exciting New York City premiere at 99 Scott in Brooklyn.

Four of the best chefs in the United States will create a nine-course organic vegan tasting menu to be eaten from custom made cutlery and tableware created by fifteen artists on both nights.

Expect the unexpected in this immersive experience that allows chefs and artists to excite and challenge diners by presenting and encouraging diners to eat in different ways. Why do we eat the way that we do and are there other options?

Renowned chefs Dominique Crenn, Elise Kornack, Emma Bengtsson and Niki Nakayama will combine talents with 15 artists to "disrupt the convention of dining" where unique pieces for dining will be made from materials such as clay, cotton, metal, paper, and wood to enrich the dining experience in the most unexpected way.

The evening will unfold in an equally spectacular location, the historic light filled industrial warehouse at the intersection of East Williamsburg and Bushwick, 99 Scott Studio with spectacular 20-foot-high ceilings, forming the perfect backdrop to the event.
