For the first time, the European Wine Bloggers' Conference (EWBC) arrives in Italy as the host of the 2011 edition of the event dedicated to wine bloggers. Specifically, the Franciacorta region near Brescia, the territory of spumante wine, which has become widely known also thanks to the excellence of the Bellavista products.
From Friday the 14th until Sunday the 16th of October, against the backdrop of the Museo del monastero of Santa Giulia, 200 bloggers, journalists and wine lovers will come together and discuss the relationship between tradition and ancient winemaking know-how with the possibilities offered by today’s technology and the Internet in particular.
Friday and Sunday will be dedicated to the region Franciacorta: the wine producers and oenologists from different vineyards explain local winemaking, taking part in afternoon workshops. At the end of the day, there will be tastings of Millésime Satèn and Brut millesimati from 37 cellars. Also on Sunday, participants will be able to visit a selection of vineyards and cellars. All of the sessions have a limited number of participants, but for those interested, there are still a few tickets available.
