An (Essen)Taste Exhibition In Milan

Hosted at Milan's Triennale Museum until the 22nd of July, 'A Taste Exhibition' is the result of a first research about lifestyle food photography; a research conducted by Essentaste magazine, which has evolved in a natural way into a small preview exhibition focused on what the first Zeitgeist Editor's publication is going to be this autumn.

The first results of the magazine's self-produced research are the products of the commissions made to several photographers, supposed to investigate various aspect of the relationship between people and food. Photographs by: Jennifer Abessira, Carolina Amoretti, Adrianna Glaviano, Nadia Moro, Kuba Dabrowski, Matteo Serri, Federico Garibaldi, Delfino Sisto Legnani, Claudia Zalla, Mara Corsino.

As a frame for this first research about food photography, the exhibition contains the results of the contest organized by Essen Taste with Lomography: a contest that collected 1201 shots from all over the world. Essen's jury (which included Jennifer Abessira, Kuba Dabrowski, Adrianna Glaviano, Delfino Sisto Legnani, Elisa Magnini and Matteo Serri) started working after an initial selection of 347 photos. The criteria of the jury's selection included the iconographic composition, the interest in the represented food, the story, the tecnical ability in relation to the camera, and the aesthetic and cultural representation of the country of origin.
