Who is the top cake designer in France? We will find out this week when three finalists face off in Marseilles at the 2015 French Cake Design Championships. The competition will be held Friday, February 6th at the Salon EXPOGATO.
This is the final leg of the contest which began last September when participants submitted their three-tiered cakes. The theme of the championship is French Art and finalists are judged on their cake decorating skills and taste. The cake masterpieces will be judged by a professional jury composed of cake experts Marielly Parra, Marion Delaunay, Natalia Da Silva, Nicole Veloso, Marie Labarre and Laurent Martinet.
The winner will be crowned the Best Cake Decorator in France at an awards ceremony on Sunday, February 8th. They will receive numerous awards including a 6.9L (6qt) Kitchenaid mixer. Here's a look at the three finalists and their lovely cakes:
