If world-class wine, international music, cinema and literature set in one of Italy's finest hilltop town sounds like an irresistible combination - head to the 2018 edition of Collisioni festival. The annual event that rocks the heart of the wine country in Barolo, Piedmont, every summer.
This year, from 30 June to 28 July the small Langhe town will see some big name stars like Depeche Mode and Lenny Kravitz gracing the stage that has also seen the likes of Robbie Williams and Elton John in the past.
Alongside the live music will be more than 70 international wine & food professionals including sommeliers, restaurant owners, journalists, buyers, educators and opinion leaders from five continents between 26 June and 2 July for a series of roundtables , educational, speed-dates, seminars concentrating on wine and food from over 16 different Italian regions.
Among the names of great experts already confirmed: Alexander Peh, Beverage Director of the Four Seasons in Singapore; Mariarosa Tartaglione, Head Sommelier for the New York Marea; Tushar Borah, Head Sommelier of Burj Al Arab; Susan Gordon, Forbes food & wine publisher; Jason Yamasaki, Head Sommelier of Chambar in Vancouver; Evan Watson, owner of Clementine in Toronto and many others.
