Book Your Table: Good France 2016 is Coming to a Restaurant Near You

Gourmets will be pleased to hear it's that time of year again when Goût de France/Good France swings around with its global celebration of French gastronomy which happily coincides with the arrival of spring on 21st March 2016.

Diners are invited to join over 1000 chefs on all five continents celebrating the event with special menus in all calibre of establishments ranging from haute cuisine restaurants to fine-dining bistros.

Honouring the key principles of French cuisine the event is a reminder of the conviviality that surrounds enjoying and sharing good quality French food that has been sourced ethically whether in Togo or Tokyo.

The French quality stamp of approval for participating restaurants was given by a committee of international chefs, led by Alain Ducasse, based on the restaurant's menu choice.

So whether you choose a bistro or a blow out top end dinner rest assured that the menu is representative of French gastronomy and will include the following sequence of meals:

• One "enriched" aperitif
• One appetizer
• One or 2 main courses
• A selection of French cheeses
• One dessert
• French wines and Champagnes
