Food lovers in search of Nordic fare will find a perfect excuse for a Scandinavian break in Sweden and Iceland this coming February and March where food will be celebrated in true Nordic style.
Passion for Food Festival (Passion for Mat), Gothenburg, Sweden
Enjoy a fun-filled weekend celebrating local produce, Michelin-starred dining, fine wine and spirits as you rub shoulders with Sweden's finest chefs and foodie guests in the culinary capital of Gothenburg from 26th to 28th February.
A packed programme includes everything from cooking classes, micro-seminars, wine tastings and the opportunity to pick up plenty of Swedish produced local delicacies.
Swing by the Taste of West Sweden stand to sample organic produce offered up by a selection of accredited restaurants and producers (a network of 25 gastronomic eateries) as well as enjoying the delights of west coast shellfish, inland game and fine cheeses.
A festival highlight is billed to be the cook-off with chef Leif Mannerström from Gothenburg, the former owner of the Michelin star restaurant Sjömagasinet.

If you've never been to Iceland, the country's Food and Fun Festival is the perfect excuse to visit the vibrant capital city of Reykjavik in its finest hour.
During the week long festival from March 2nd to March 6th, the city will be awash with world-renown culinary talent from Europe and the United States as the festival takes over the city to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
World-class dining is promised as international chefs team up with local restaurants and create gourmet menus at affordable prices in a one-week chef competition where only local Icelandic ingredients are permitted.
Celebrity chef judges will score the food selecting just three chefs to go through to the finals and compete for the title of Food and Fun Chef of the Year.
This year's participating chefs will be announced in February.
