We recently took a look at the Whitehouse's new Gingerbread house for the 2012 Christmas celebrations. At 300-pounds and with working electric lights it's a feat of culinary engineering but one that may have just been surpassed with this gingerbread village from the MUJI design studio in Tokyo.
It features over 100 miniature gingerbread houses in an entire baked village. There's a railway track, workers busy clearing snow, an old couple enjoying an afternoon chat and even romantic rendezvous on gingerbread balconies.
The video below shows a family making their contribution to the village which is being used to promote the company's latest range of homemade Christmas products.
