The world of robotics is constantly making it's way into gastronomy with 3D printing, robotic coffee machines and of course the long list of robot restaurants that are now appearing around the word.
In the video below you can see a robot build skyscraper like structures using salt.
It was showcased by the artist Jonathan Schipper at an exhibition in New York in which guests were asked to relax in a hot tub while the robotic arm got busy building salt sculptures.
Although this may not apply directly to the food world it seems we're heading closer each day to a time when robots help design food, maybe even plating in the kitchen. What do you think?
