We love a spoonful of food art here at FDL headquarters, which is why we decided to highlight the work of prop stylist and designer Kristen Meyer here.
The Connecticut based artist has fun creating mesmerising geometric flat lay art using found organic materials that she places on pastel backgrounds and photographs.
Cheese and crackers, sticks, spaghetti, herbs, melon, pulses and more are all placed with meticulous precision inside circles and squares, creating a sense of order where there would usually be disarray.
When I created this image, I never would have imagined that it would generate so much conversation. Who knew crackers could be so popular?🤷🏻♀️ Either way, I’m so thankful for all of the kind words. So many of you have requested this as a print and I’m happy to say, it’s now available in my shop along with lots of new images! *link in profile
