Jessica Dance Puts a Woolly Twist on Some Classic Comfort Foods

London based art director, Jessica Dance, and photographer, David Sykes, have collaborated on another fun art project giving us seconds of their fuzzy food following on from the succesful 'comfort food’ series.

This time round the creative pair have been commissioned by Stylist magazine to produce a number of images for their 'Comfort Food' edition which "celebrates the foods that keep us warm and happy during the winter months". Knitted donuts, baked beans, chocolate and mustard are all given the pair's signature makeover under their meticulous eye for detail.

Dance knits on a domestic knitting machine using 100% UK sourced lamb's wool to create the edible looking food while Sykes is the man behind the camera photographing the fleecy food as if it were real.

Each knitted dish or food item is strangely appetizing and tactile. Take a look at some of the series below.

All photos are by David Sykes and taken from the Stylist series (excluding the main photo).
