10 Mouth-Watering Instagram Food Shots

Can you, like us, while away hours trawling Instagram food photography, trying different combinations of hastags, searching for the best chefs and restaurants or the most bizarre ingredients? Whatever your thoughts on people photographing their food – and we’re sure there are some very strong opinions out there – Instagram is an undeniably useful way for foodies to discover global cuisine, gain insight into the minds of the most creative chefs, and connect with like-minded people.

We thought we’d put all those hours to good use, and so each week we’ll be bringing you the best Instagram food snaps that've caught our eye, from the most beautiful dishes to the biggest food stories and innovations. Enjoy, and remember, food is for eating.

We love the simple colour palette on this dish from the tiny but excellent London restaurant Pidgin. The lucid pink? That's beetroot powder.
