By FDL on
When the window displays start to display fake snow and mini elves you know the season is beginning.
It seems to start earlier every year and that's usually something to complain about - unless of course said window display is actually an entire city made from gingerbread.
Created as part of a collaboration between Bompas & Parr, the Biscuiteers and Lyle’s Golden Syrup - this is an edible city. It took 400 hours to design and took 353kg of gingerbread, 1245kgs of icing and over 80 litres of golden syrup to create.
It will remain on display in Selfridges in London until New Year or until a daring child gets loose and starts to devour the edible creation.
